- Edit Your Main Room Description
Customize the brief description for your main chat room whenever you like. The description is displayed as a tooltip when users hover over your room name on the Who's Online page, so updates can be made instantly without having to contact the Site Owner. - Control Sub-Room Visibility
Choose whether your sub-room's user list appears on the Who's Online page. Turn it on or off at any time with a simple setting. - Personal Member Bios
Members will be able to create a short personal bio, making it easier to introduce themselves, share their interests, and add a little personality to their profile.
These additions are all about putting more control into the hands of room owners and members while making the community feel more personal and customizable. And, as always, there's plenty more still to come.

While there's still work ahead, this sneak peek offers a glimpse of the direction Starlight Chat is headed.
One of the exciting additions planned for paid room owners is interface customization. Rather than every room looking the same, room owners will be able to personalize the appearance by choosing their own color themes, giving each room its own unique style and atmosphere while maintaining a clean and consistent overall experience.
This is only the beginning, and there's much more to come as development continues.

The new Starlight Chat server is still under active development. Right now, my focus is on building a stronger foundation, improving security, refining features, and making sure the new system is stable and reliable before release.
Rather than rushing the new server out, I want to take the time to make sure everything works the way it should. Once development reaches a point where I'm confident in the system, a public demo will be made available so members can explore the new design, test features, and get a first look at what's coming.
The following is just a small preview of some of the improvements planned for Room Owners. There is more being worked on behind the scenes, but some things are best saved for the demo and official release.
As development continues, features may be added, refined, changed, or removed as the new server evolves. Nothing is considered final until the official release.

« Last post by David on July 29, 2026, 07:36:09 AM »The **Actions Editor** has been completely redesigned from the ground up, giving you more flexibility while making it easier than ever to organize and manage your custom actions.
One of the biggest improvements is the new **collapsible action panels**. Rather than displaying every action at once, each one can now be expanded or collapsed individually. This keeps long action lists clean, organized, and much easier to navigate.
As shown below, you can quickly collapse actions you're not working on and expand only the ones you want to edit.
Each action consists of two fields:
* **Name** – The text displayed in the **Actions** drop-down menu.
* **Message** – The text that's posted in chat when the action is selected.
Within the **Message** field, you can use **{WHOTO}** to automatically insert the name of the targeted user. For example, **"waves at {WHOTO}"** becomes **"waves at Sarah"** when Sarah is selected, or simply **"waves"** if no target is chosen.
The **Message** field also fully supports HTML, allowing you to add formatting such as *italics*, **bold text**, colors, and more. Your HTML is preserved exactly as written, giving you complete control over how your custom actions appear in chat.

Starlight Chat is entering an exciting new stage of development.
A brand-new chat server is currently under construction, bringing a new generation of chat experiences to the community.
This is more than a simple update.
This is the next step forward for Starlight Chat.

The new Starlight Chat server is being built from the ground up with the goal of creating a more modern, engaging, and enjoyable experience for members, room owners, and communities.
While the vision for the new server is already taking shape, development is an ongoing process. As work continues, certain ideas, designs, and features may change along the way.
During development, some things may:
